The University of Maryland Eastern Shore just got the green light to finance, build, operate and maintain the largest renewable energy project in Maryland.
The Board of Public Works approved a 20-year agreement with SunEdison LLC - North America's largest solar energy services provider - for a 2.1 megawatt photovoltaic solar farm to be built on 20 acres of the school's campus.
