Kilimanjaro's Iconic Snow Cap Retreating

Mount Kilimanjaro's year-round snow cap is rapidly melting.

Some 85 percent of the ice that made up its mountaintop glaciers in 1912 was gone by 2007, according to a report out today in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
