President Obama says the federal government will lead the nation in cutting global warming-linked emissions, reducing its greenhouse gas emissions 28 percent by 2020.
That's well beyond the 17 percent reduction for the nation as a whole that's called for in House-passed climate legislation.
The White House set the cut after 35 agencies, pursuant to an executive order last fall, examined their energy usage and tallied what they could do in energy efficiency and switching to cleaner energy...
